The United Nation has warned over efforts to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in Syria's war in Aleppo, as US President Barack Obama
urged greater efforts to end the violence when he met Russia President Vladmir Putin on Asia Pacific economy summit in Peru.
Obama wanted Secretary of States John Kerry and Foreign Ministaer Sergei Lavrov to continue pursuing initiatives with broader international community to diminish the violence and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
UN envoy Staffan de Mistrra after meeting Foreign Mister Walid Muallem said "we are running out of time, we are running against time".
Instead of Humanitarian or a political initiative there would be an acceleration of military activities in eastern Aleppo.
"Due to military intensification you will have the virtual collapse of what is in eastern Aleppo; you will have 200,000 people moving toward Turkey, that would be a humanitarian catastrophe." Said Mistaer
