Italy PM quits after defeat in referendum

Italy Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has resign after  defeated in referendum on constitutional reform.
No campaign led the pool by 59.5 percent of votes. 


Renzi said "my experience of government finished here" while he acnoledging that the No campaign had won an extraodinarily clear victory in vote.

About 70 percent of Italians cast their ballots on Sunday. Renzi expected to meet President Sergio Matterella on Monday.
