Philippines won case against China over disputed South China sea

Philippines has won the international legal case against China over control the disputed water of the South China sea

. 

The international tribunal judgement in 

The Hague ruled that the rocky outcrops claimed by China some of which are exposed only at low 

tide-cannot be used as basis of territorial claims.

 The tribunal also found that China violated the Philippines sovereign rights 

by interfering with its fishing and 

petroleum exploration and construction of artificial islands.

The Hague will increase global diplomatic pressure on Beijing

 to scale back military expansion in 

the sensitive area.
